The community in Perth’s south eastern suburbs deserves a dedicated indoor netball facility.

Southern Districts Netball Association has supported the local netball community for years and strive to train and encourage the next generation of players and the future netball stars!

The new Netball Indoor Centre is planned for the site in Langford – Cnr Langford Ave & Windgrove Road. Click here to see the plans.

The proposed Netball Centre is supported by City of Gosnells, but we also need Government Funding to complete the project.

A GENTLE REMINDER!

With finals upon us it is timely to remind all players, officials and spectators of our Code of Conduct.  SDNA is an inclusive Association and as such will not tolerate racist or discriminatory comments from players, official and spectators.  It is expected that all finals will be played in the spirit of sportsmanship and within our code of conduct.  Please ensure your players, officials and spectators refresh their knowledge of both the association’s and your club’s code of conduct.

MORE THAN A WORD. RECONCILIATION TAKES ACTION

Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021, More than a word. Reconciliation takes action, urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.

Reconciliation is a journey for all Australians – as individuals, families, communities, organisations and importantly as a nation. At the heart of this journey are relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

To our new supporters, please remember the importance of privileging and amplifying First Nations’ voices as you add your voice to calls for reconciliation and justice.

We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.

2021 marks twenty years of Reconciliation Australia and almost three decades of Australia’s formal reconciliation process.

20 ACTIONS FOR RECONCILIATION IN 2021

 

The goal of the reconciliation movement is for a just, equitable and reconciled country. This will only be achieved when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the First Peoples of this land, are able to equally contribute to daily life of the nation. Until this happens, Australia will not reach its full potential.

We need more people speaking up, asking the hard questions and taking action during and beyond National Reconciliation Week. To help you, we have compiled 20 actions for reconciliation (SEE BELOW). 

If you are hesitant to challenge some of the long-held but incorrect ideas in your community, be assured that across this country many people just like you are joining First Nations peoples in this effort.

This National Reconciliation Week, make reconciliation more than a word. Move from safe to brave on issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
